British Airways (2020/02/24)
- Following the Foreign Office’s continued advice against all but essential travel to mainland China, we have cancelled our flights to and from Beijing and Shanghai until 17 April 2020.
Cathay Pacific (2020/03/02)
- all Cathay Pacific flights from/to Rome and Milan on 1-29 February have been cancelled
- The destinations that are subject to temporary suspension until 28 March 2020 are:
- China - Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan regions: Kaohsiung, Taichung and all Mainland China cities with the exception of Beijing, Shanghai Pudong, Chengdu and Xiamen
- Cathay Dragon has cancelled flights to and from Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Sanya and Haikou in Mainland China on 2 February to 28 March 2020, except the Haikou flight on 8 February is still scheduled to operate.
- The Americas: New York (Newark), Washington D.C.
- Asia: Seoul, Jeju, Busan, Clark, Davao, Niigata, Okinawa, Male
- Australasia: Adelaide
- Europe: Rome, Milan, London (Gatwick), Barcelona

Virgin Atlantic
- Virgin Atlantic suspended Heathrow-Shanghai operations as of the 1st of February. Future flights on this route have be cancelled up to 19th April. The next available Virgin Atlantic flight (VS250) will depart London Heathrow on Monday 20th April. Returning as VS251 from Shanghai on Tuesday 21st April.
- Our service to Hong Kong is operating as scheduled.
Emirates (2020/03/02)
- Due to a GCAA directive, all Emirates flights between Dubai and Tehran have been cancelled from 26 February until further notice.
- Due to the temporary suspension of air services between Dubai and Bahrain, the following Emirates flights have been cancelled on 25 and 26 February
- As directed by the UAE authorities, Emirates will suspend flights to Guangzhou (CAN) and Shanghai (PVG) from 5 February 2020, until further notice.
- Emirates will operate one service per day to and from Bahrain, EK839/840, from 29 February until 2 March, 2020.
- Due to a directive issued by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the following will be suspended entry to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 27 February until further notice:
- All customers travelling on an Umrah visa.
- All customers holding Tourist Visas & coming from: People’s Republic of China & SAR (Hong Kong & Macau) / Republic of China / Iran / Iraq / Italy / Republic of Korea / Japan / Thailand / Malaysia / Indonesia / Pakistan / Afghanistan / Philippines / Singapore / India / Lebanon / Syria / Yemen / Azerbaijan / Kazakhstan / Uzbekistan / Somalia / Vietnam
Finnair (2020/03/02)
- Flights between Helsinki and Beijing Capital, Shanghai, Beijing Daxing, Nanjing and Guangzhou cancel until 28 March 2020
- AY102/101 flights between Helsinki and Hong Kong between 1 March and 28 March 2020. Our Hong Kong flights AY099/100 operate normally.
EL AL Israel Airlines (2020/03/02)
- The Company announced today on temporary suspension of flights to Hong Kong until 29.3.2020.
- Following the previous announcement of temporary suspension of flights to Beijing until March 25,2020, the suspension is now extended until April 24, 2020.
- EL AL's flights to Thailand will be temporarily suspended from Monday 2/3/20 to 27/3/20
- Temporary suspension of flights to all destinations in Italy (Milan, Venice, Rome and Naples on Sun d'Or flights) starting tomorrow, Friday 28/2/20, until 14/3/20.
American Airlines (2020/02/29)
- Flights between Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW)/Los Angeles (LAX) and the mainland China are suspended through April 24.
- Flights between DFW and Hong Kong (HKG) are suspended through April 23.
- Flights between LAX and HKG are suspended through April 24.
- Due to the reduction in demand, American Airlines is suspending operations to and from Milan, Italy, and New York (JFK) and Miami (MIA). Flights to Milan are scheduled to resume April 25.
Air Canada (2020/02/25)
- Air Canada is extending the suspension of its flights between Canada and Beijing and Shanghai until April 10, 2020.
- Air Canada operates direct flights to Beijing and Shanghai from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
- Air Canada is extending the suspension of its daily non-stop Toronto-Hong Kong flights until April 30, reflecting reduced market demand. The airline's daily, non-stop Vancouver-Hong Kong flights will accommodate customers originally booked on its Toronto-Hong Kong flights.
- Air Canada normally operates 14 weekly flights to Hong Kong, seven from Toronto and seven from Vancouver.
- Flights to and from Taipei remain unaffected.
Aeroflot (2020/02/17)
- Between February 18 and 29 Aeroflot is suspending the following daily flights:
- SU200/201 Moscow — Beijing — Moscow,
- SU208/209 Moscow — Shanghai — Moscow.
- The following daily flights will continue to operate:
- SU204/205 Moscow — Beijing — Moscow
- SU206/207 Moscow — Shanghai — Moscow
- Between February 17 and 29 Aeroflot is reducing flight frequencies for SU220/221 flights between Moscow and Guangzhou. Flights between these destinations will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
- Between March 1 and 28 Aeroflot is suspending the following daily flights:
- SU200/201 Moscow — Beijing — Moscow
- SU206/207 Moscow — Shanghai — Moscow
- The following daily flights will continue to operate:
- SU204/205 Moscow — Beijing — Moscow
- SU208/209 Moscow — Shanghai — Moscow
- Between March 1 and 28 Aeroflot is reducing flight frequencies for SU220/221 flights between Moscow and Guangzhou. Flights between these destinations will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
- Between March 1 and 28 Aeroflot is reducing flight frequencies for SU212/213 flights between Moscow and Hong Kong. Flights between these destinations will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Singapore Airlines
- Singapore Airlines and SilkAir will be further rationalising our flights to China temporarily.
- Singapore Airlines will temporarily further reduce its services to Hong Kong SAR.
- flights SQ001 and SQ002 will operate as a direct Singapore-San Francisco service with effect from 17 February 2020. SIA will temporarily remove the Hong Kong stop on these services.
SWISS (2020/02/14)
- Lufthansa Group extends flight suspensions to mainland China
- Flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Shenyang and Quingdao will be suspended until March 28
- Flight operations to/from Hong Kong will be reduced in March
Hainan Airlines
- temporarily cancel some flights from February 1 to March 28 in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and southeast Asia.
Air China
- adjustments to its capacity input, route structure and flights, continuing its operations on the routes from Beijing to Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Washington D.C
- Air China will resume flights from Chengdu to Singapore from February 7, 2020. The details are announced as follows, which are expected to facilitate the passenger and cargo transportation between China and Singapore.
- Route from Mainland China to the Philippines: Beijing-Manila round-trip flights from February 6 to March 28, 2020 are canceled.
- Route from Mainland China to Singapore: Beijing-Singapore flights CA969 from February 11 to February 29, 2020 and Singapore-Beijing CA970 from February 12 to March 1, 2020 are canceled.
- For routes from mainland China to Italy: flights of the following four routes will be cancelled from January 31 to April 29, 2020: Beijing - Rome, Beijing - Milan, Shanghai Pudong - Milan and Hangzhou - Rome.
- For routes from mainland China to Mongolia: flights of the two routes, Beijing - Ulaanbaatar and Hohhot - Ulaanbaatar, will be cancelled from February 1 to March 2, 2020.
Etihad Airways
- suspended its daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Shanghai, three flights per week between Abu Dhabi and Chengdu, and daily flights between Beijing and Nagoya, Japan.
- Daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Beijing continue, but passengers travelling from Beijing will be subject to stringent screening prior to arrival in Abu Dhabi.
- lights between Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong also continue but have been reduced from daily to five per week due to reduced demand. Passengers will be temperature-screened prior to boarding.
Air New Zealand
- Following the announcement from the New Zealand Government on China travel restrictions, Air New Zealand has suspended its Auckland-Shanghai route until 29 March 2020.
- Air New Zealand alliance partner Cathay Pacific will take over operations of the Hong Kong-Auckland return service for most of the next three months.
- Air New Zealand will be reducing capacity on its Shanghai route throughout April, and Hong Kong route throughout April and May, as a result of the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on customer demand.
- From 30 March, Shanghai services will be adjusted from daily return services to a return service every second day through to 30 April. Air New Zealand will resume its Hong Kong services, currently operated by Cathay Pacific, from 29 March initially operating daily return services per week adjusting to four return services per week from 21 April – 31 May.
- With the continuing global impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Air New Zealand has temporarily suspended its Auckland-Seoul (Incheon) route from 8 March, until 30 June 2020.
Qatar Airways
- Qatar Airways has taken the decision to suspend flights to and from mainland China from 3 February due to significant operational challenges caused by entry restrictions imposed by a number of countries.
- Flights to Beijing (PEK), Shanghai (PVG) and Guangzhou (CAN) are cancelled until 31st March 2020
- Flights to Hangzhou (HGH), Chongqing (CKG), Chengdu (CTU) are cancelled until 30th April 2020

- temporarily suspended flights connecting Vietnam and mainland China since the 1st of February

- All KLM flights to Chengdu, Hangzhou, and Xiamen have been suspended, at least until 29 March 2020.
- All KLM flights to Beijing and Shanghai have been suspended until 28 March 2020. Flights are expected to resume on 29 March 2020.

- reducing its flights between Kuala Lumpur/ Kota Kinabalu, Shanghai as well as Beijing and Hong Kong.
Philippine Airlines
- extended until March 28, 2020 the cancellation of flights between Manila and the following points in greater China: BEIJING, HONG KONG, GUANGZHOU, SHANGHAI, XIAMEN, QUANZHOU (JINJIANG) and MACAU.

- suspension of all our flights to Shanghai and Beijing 28 March 2020 included
- As from 29 March 2020, depending on the evolution of the situation, we plan together with KLM, to gradually resume operations to and from Shanghai and Beijing, alternating one daily flight to each destination. In this way, Shanghai and Beijing will be served daily from Europe, via Paris or Amsterdam, depending on the day of operation.
- A normal flight schedule should be resumed as from 13 April 2020.
- For the time being, service to Wuhan will remain suspended.
